How this comparison works

Each platform is worked out with its standard settings: no boosting or promoted listings, standard categories, and the lowest seller tier. Your own fees will be higher if you boost, promote or sell in a specialist category; open that platform's calculator to change the settings.

Profit takes off your item cost, and postage for platforms where you pay for shipping. On Poshmark, Vinted and Vestiaire the buyer pays postage directly, so it isn't deducted there.

Cross-listing to sell faster

Most full-time resellers list the same item on two or three platforms and take it down when it sells. Fees matter less than you'd think when an item sells in a week instead of two months. Write the listing once with our generators and adapt it for each platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which selling app has the lowest fees?

For private sellers, Vinted (UK and Europe) and eBay UK charge sellers nothing; the buyer pays instead. In the US, Depop has no selling fee, just payment processing, which makes it one of the cheapest. Poshmark and Vestiaire are among the most expensive, but include shipping labels and, for Vestiaire, authentication.

Is the cheapest platform always the best place to sell?

No. Fees are one part of it. The platform where your item sells fastest, at the best price, often wins even with higher fees. Designer pieces tend to fetch more on Vestiaire or Grailed, everyday clothing sells fastest on Vinted, and collectibles do well on eBay and Whatnot.

Why do some platforms show £0 fees?

Vinted and eBay UK (for private sellers) charge the buyer a protection fee instead of charging the seller. You get the full price; the buyer pays more at checkout.
